Mamata’s Journey of Empowerment

“Fightback didn’t just give me skills; it gave me a voice and the independence to change my community.”

Profile In 2017

Mamata Jay Prakash Singh

was one of girls in Nepal’s Nawalparasi district who participated in a 5-day Fightback training program. That week changed everything. Inspired by the confidence she gained, Mamata didn’t just walk away with a certificate, she and 65 of her peers founded “Aatmarakshya Kishori Samuha” (Adolescents Self-Defense Group) to ensure no girl in their community would have to live in fear.
